This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role located in Amado, AZ. The Electrician will be responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment in compliance with codes and safety standards. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting routine inspections and maintenance, performing repairs on complex instruments, and collaborating with other team members to ensure operational efficiency within the facility. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to supporting the Center’s mission of scientific advancement.
- Proficiency in electrical system installation, repair, and maintenance, with knowledge of current electrical codes and safety standards
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for identifying and resolving electrical issues in equipment or systems
- Experience working with and repairing complex electronic instruments and systems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Licensure or certification as a journeyman electrician or master electrician; extensive field experience in commercial or industrial settings is a plus
- Familiarity with high-voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other advanced electrical technologies is beneficial
