Job Title: Senior Director, Training & Development
Job Summary:
CASES is seeking a dedicated Senior Director, Training and Development who will lead the architecture and implementation of a centralized, mission-driven learning culture that ensures all staff have the knowledge, skills, and supports needed to be successful in their roles. This leader will develop a strategic vision for learning and professional growth that reflects the needs of a diverse workforce delivering critical services in behavioral health and criminal justice settings.
This role provides senior-level leadership over organizational training, continuing education, Clinical support, and professional development. The Senior Director will manage a multi-level team while also collaborating with other teams. This role also sits on our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), a cross organizational leadership team who problem solves org-wide issues. All members will serve as Co-Chair of SLT for a 12-month period.
Salary: The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 per year
Shift Hours: This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location Address: 4 West 125th Street, New York, N.Y. 10027. Our office is easily accessible by public transportation. You'll also be traveling to our Brooklyn and Bronx offices.
Workplace Flexibility: Flexible - Staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.
What You Will Be Doing:
Organizational Training Strategy & Culture
- Develop and lead a centralized training and workforce development strategy aligned with the organization’s mission, values, and service priorities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning that supports staff across a wide range of roles, skill levels, and professional disciplines.
- Identify current and emerging training needs across programs, using data, feedback, and organizational priorities to guide planning.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a high-performing training team
- Provide clear direction, accountability, and professional development opportunities for training team.
- Ensure strong collaboration between training staff and program leadership.
Clinical Training & Workforce Development
- Ensure licensed staff have adequate access to required continuing education (CE) credits and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee training infrastructure supporting clinical internships, ensuring alignment with educational standards and organizational needs
- Serve as an option to provide clinical supervision to staff seeking advanced licensure i.e.: LCSW, LMHC
- Be a resource for complex clinical cases across the organization
- Support training needs related to evidence-based practices in behavioral health and criminal justice settings.
Learning Management System (LMS) Oversight
- Provide high level oversight of the organization’s Learning Management System.
- Supervise the Systems Manager to ensure the Cornerstone LMS platform effectively supports onboarding, compliance, and ongoing professional development.
- Ensure training data, reporting, and tracking meet internal and external standards
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure all mandatory and compliance trainings are current, accessible, and completed in accordance with regulatory, contractual, and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, compliance, and leadership teams to address gaps and reduce organizational risk.
What We Are Looking For:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Clinical Psychologist in good standing
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 3 years of leadership and management experience, with demonstrated leadership of teams
- Strong understanding of behavioral health systems and/or criminal justice–involved populations, including CASES or similarly complex service environments
- Demonstrated experience developing or leading training programs for multidisciplinary staff
- Experience supporting licensed staff in gaining clinical advancement
- Knowledge of continuing education requirements for licensed professionals
Preferred:
- Senior-level leadership experience in training, professional development, or workforce development
- Experience overseeing learning management systems and training infrastructure
- Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, and workforce development best practices
