Position Summary:
Perform required tasks and duties for the designated position, as determined by team composition and crewing needs. Must maintain timely progress through assigned operational training. Must flexibly perform a variety of roles in a team-based environment. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High-Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain timely arrival and attendance for scheduled shift
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn
- Make timely progress in completing the training and skill development required to master at least one designated rotational position for the core team’s operational function
- Steadily pursue and master leadership and operational skill development as required to advance to Tech Level 1 performance within the established time frame
- Demonstrate fundamental knowledge and behavior required for the safe execution of operational roles
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of essential information and behavior required to ensure product quality
- Read equipment-specific standard work before engaging machinery

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
- Able to 10 to 12-hour shifts throughout the week
- Able to climb, walk, bend, kneel and reach during shift
- Capable of standing for long periods of time
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Maintain eyes on the task at all times
- Willing to work overtime when necessary
- Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens
- Must demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
- Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Effective problem-solving ability
- Active listening skills
- Effective oral/written communication skills
- Positive, approachable demeanor
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and readily adapt to change
- Basic reading (comprehension) and math skills (counting, addition and subtraction)

Working Conditions:
- Uniforms are provided and expected to be worn
- We have more manual processes compared to some manufacturing facilities
- Some work area temperatures are hot/cold based on the outside temperature.
