About The Role

This role sits on the Supply team. Supply ensures every Centaur project is staffed with high-quality labelers, at competitive/market rates, fast enough to hit kickoff. We own the labeler experience end-to-end so the best people keep coming back.

Every specialist who annotates with Centaur goes through this role. You'll run sourcing from the moment a request lands to the moment specialists are ready to work. You manage vetting, contracting, and onboarding throughout the process. You'll also build the pipeline that makes future sourcing faster: partnerships with hospitals and professional communities, recruiting campaigns, and maintaining a cleaner, better-tagged database.

This is an AI-native role. You'll work alongside systems that draft sourcing requests from SOWs, propose shortlists, run first-pass vetting, and flag suspicious applicants. Your job is to be sharper than those systems where it counts and push them harder where they aren't pulling their weight. Some of those systems exist today. Some are partial. Some we'll build with you. The person who thrives here wants to tune the system, not be the system.

We're shifting from staffing-partner-dependent to independent-specialist-first. That shift runs through this role. You'll own the database, the partner mix, and the unit economics of how every project gets staffed - and you'll see the impact in our margin and our speed within your first quarter.

Responsibilities

  • Run sourcing end-to-end. Translate customer SOWs into specialist profiles, build shortlists, and push independent specialists first when viable.
  • Own partner coordination. Be the day-to-day point of contact for our staffing partners during sourcing,onboarding, and offboarding. Send requests, field replies, and close every loop before kickoff.
  • Run vetting and credentialing. Catch scammers, verify credentials, and credential against SOW spec before kickoff.
  • Execute contracts. Send SOWs and labeler contracts, track signatures, and escalate when issues arise.
  • Approve payment runs. Approve weekly runs, double-check the numbers, and triage payment issues with partners.
  • Hunt for the next 1,000 specialists. Stand up partnerships with hospitals, online communities, WhatsApp groups, and med-school networks. Design BAA and med-student campaigns with Marketing.
  • Keep the database clean. Tag every new labeler against our taxonomy at intake and maintain trusted tags over time.

You may be a good fit if you

  • Have 3 years in operational sourcing or talent operations - ideally at a labeling, annotation, staffing, or healthcare-contracting company
  • Treat every manual step as a bug, and reach for automation before a manual checklist
  • Are detail-obsessed - you catch sourcing errors, vetting gaps, payment mistakes, and contract typos before they scale
  • Write clearly and calmly over email and Slack; most of this job runs through written partner and labeler communication
  • Use AI tools as a core part of how you work, and would rather tune a workflow than do it twice
  • Are comfortable with Series B pace - a new SOW can land Monday, source Tuesday, kick off Wednesday

Strong candidates may also have

  • Experience coordinating a contractor or contingent-worker network (clinical trial staffing, agency operations, HR tech)
  • Light scripting or no-code automation experience (Retool, Zapier, Apps Script, or similar)
  • Built or contributed to a Claude / Cowork skill, custom GPT, or similar AI workflow

Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
