Duties
- Monitor hospital entrances, exits, and sensitive areas using CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital grounds, corridors, parking areas, and restricted zones to maintain security integrity.
- Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies by implementing conflict management protocols and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Assist in enforcing hospital policies related to loss prevention, visitor access control, and overall safety procedures.
- Provide first aid and CPR when required, ensuring immediate care for patients or staff in medical emergencies.
- Manage access control by verifying identification badges and authorizations for staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Document all security activities through detailed reports and incident logs to ensure accurate recordkeeping for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or disputes.
- Familiarity with security protocols specific to healthcare environments and experience with law enforcement procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with staff, patients, visitors, and emergency responders.
