Asphalt Sales Advisor

About this opportunity:

Cenovus Energy is seeking an Asphalt Sales Advisor to develop sales objectives, tactics, and action plans to continue to build on a new customer base. This role will drive sales growth through development of strong relationships and understanding of customer needs.

What you’ll do:

• Execute all activities related to the sales and marketing of asphalt products to increase sales volume and profitability within the assigned market

• Continued retail sales growth through the development of strong industry relationships and frequent face to face interaction

• Identify and communicate gaps in product offerings or services that would help drive profitable growth

• Complete tender documents and negotiate sales contracts with customers. Ensure accurate and timely deal entry into Right Angle

• Provide accurate sales forecasting and work with supply to assure product availability at the terminal

• Work effectively with middle and back office to assure all customers a properly setup in the system, all transactions are compliant with company policy and procedure and to resolve any customer billing issues

• Active participation in local industry trade associations

• Report, investigate and handle all customer complaints

Who you are:

• Legally authorized to work in the US

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business/Marketing or other relevant discipline required

• 8 years experience in engineering, asphalt commodity marketing or other closely related technical sales

• Knowledge of job or industry specific practices or processes; critical/unique skills/knowledge

• Previous experience in construction tendering/pricing, road construction and/or highway engineering
