Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Patient Recruitment Administrative Support role based in Clarksburg, MD. The individual in this role supports patient recruitment activities for clinical trials by coordinating outreach efforts, responding to patient inquiries, and guiding potential participants through initial eligibility screening processes. Daily responsibilities include managing incoming calls and emails, maintaining accurate participant records in databases, scheduling and confirming appointments, and preparing and distributing recruitment materials. The role also involves collaborating with study coordinators and investigators, tracking recruitment metrics, and assisting with reports or documentation needed for internal stakeholders or sponsors. The person in this position is expected to uphold strict confidentiality, follow regulatory and company procedures, and provide a professional, compassionate experience for all prospective and enrolled participants.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including experience with scheduling, data entry, document management, and maintaining accurate records.
- Proficient communication skills, with the ability to engage respectfully and clearly with diverse patient populations, clinical staff, and external partners by phone, email, and in person.
- Comfort using computer systems such as electronic databases, Microsoft Office or similar tools, and willingness to learn clinical or recruitment software platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and follow established processes and timelines with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, compliance with regulations, and adherence to standard operating procedures in a healthcare or research setting.
- Prior experience in clinical research, healthcare, or patient-facing roles is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in health sciences, business, or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Clarksburg, MD, with reliable attendance and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
