Machine Molding Operator (2nd Shift) Manufacturing background

2nd shift position, 2:00 pm-10:30 pm M-F.

Our Aerospace company specializes in the use of fiber-reinforced polymer composites, specialty polymers, and ceramics across the low- and high-temperature thermoset and thermoplastic spectrum.

Job Designation
The successful candidate will perform molding operations in support of production contracts, including urethane materials. Employee will work independently and in a team environment under moderate guidance and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures to achieve productivity goals. The Machine Molding Operator performs a range of production tasks and operates various production machinery. Ensures a safe work environment with the ultimate goal of zero accidents.

Job Core Responsibilities

• Performs a range of production tasks such as operating subassembly equipment, coating equipment, ovens, material handling equipment, including hoists, cranes, tow motors, pallet trucks, and other miscellaneous equipment.
• Preparethe urethane machine for molding and demolding urethane parts.
• Conducts inspections of own work to ensure correctness in accordance with company specifications.
• Applies process specifications governing the production of product within an assigned cell, records production time and quantity data.
• Maintains work area under company guidelines and participates in events as required.
• Completes troubleshooting while operating equipment, including performing and documenting limited preventative maintenance.
• Monitors, measures, and records quality assurance data, including, but not limited to, operating process data, work orders, and other specific process information.
• Moves material to enable the production process to flow efficiently and effectively.
• Comprehends and accurately follows specific detailed operational instructions and prints for job and setup operations.
• Follows specific quality criteria to maintain quality system requirements.
• Observes safe work practices, maintains a safe and clean work environment, and wears the appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in the related field

Years of Experience: 2-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Skills:

• Skilled in the use of hand tools, including calipers, depth gages, micrometers, and other measuring equipment, and machinery.
• Ability to read various instructions.
• Able to recognize and solve typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluate and select solutions from established options.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., regularly.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Environment is not climate-controlled.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: $20.00 - $22.89 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
