Quality Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality team at a growing aerospace manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for managing the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across plant operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a passion for developing teams and delivering quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors.
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with AS9100D and company standards.
- Ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and contractual quality requirements.
- Coordinate internal, customer, and third-party quality audits.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, MSA, and other quality tools to improve processes.
- Partner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and suppliers to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Support employee training and foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100D and Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, SPC, FMEA, MSA, and Process Capability.
- Strong customer-facing experience and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr).
- Lead Auditor certification.
- Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
