The CAG / Escort is responsible for providing cleared escort support and access control assistance within secure government facilities, construction areas, or controlled workspaces. This position supports the protection of classified information, personnel, facilities, and mission operations by ensuring that uncleared or lower-cleared personnel are properly monitored while working in restricted or sensitive areas.
The ideal candidate will have an active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph, strong attention to detail, professional judgment, and the ability to remain alert while performing repetitive but mission-critical duties.
Key Responsibilities
The CAG / Escort will:
- Escort uncleared personnel, vendors, visitors, construction workers, maintenance personnel, and other authorized individuals within secure areas.
- Maintain continuous visual observation of escorted personnel while they are inside controlled or restricted spaces.
- Ensure escorted personnel do not access unauthorized areas, classified materials, government systems, sensitive conversations, or restricted equipment.
- Verify visitor identity, access authorization, and escort requirements before allowing movement within the facility.
- Enforce site-specific security procedures, access control rules, and customer requirements.
- Monitor construction, maintenance, janitorial, delivery, or repair activities to ensure compliance with security guidelines.
- Report suspicious behavior, security violations, unauthorized access attempts, safety concerns, or policy violations immediately to the appropriate security or supervisory personnel.
- Maintain accurate escort logs, visitor records, entry/exit documentation, and incident reports as required.
- Support access control points, badge verification, visitor processing, and controlled area monitoring as needed.
- Follow all customer, company, and facility-specific security protocols.
- Maintain a professional presence and represent the company in a respectful, mission-focused manner.
- Perform duties in a variety of environments, including offices, construction areas, secure facilities, parking/loading areas, and access control points.
- Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts, including extended periods of standing, walking, or observing work activity.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with Polygraph is required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to maintain eligibility for access to classified information.
- Prior experience in security, military, law enforcement, access control, escort, construction surveillance, or government facility support preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal security procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and focused in a controlled security environment.
- Ability to document activity clearly and accurately.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime as mission needs require.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cleared escort, CAG, CST, access control officer, security officer, or similar role.
- Experience supporting secure government facilities, SCIFs, construction projects, or classified work environments.
- Familiarity with visitor control, badge checking, escort procedures, and incident reporting.
- Prior military, law enforcement, or federal contractor security experience.
- Knowledge of ICD 705, secure facility operations, or construction security requirements is a plus but not required unless specified by the contract.
Physical Requirements
The employee may be required to:
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
- Sit for periods of observation or monitoring.
- Move throughout a facility, construction site, or controlled area.
- Climb stairs or move through active workspaces as needed.
- Lift or carry light items such as logs, radios, badges, or small equipment.
- Work in indoor and outdoor conditions depending on assignment.
