Job Summary
The Head Start Floater provides flexible support to classrooms, kitchen, and other program areas as needed to maintain smooth operations and high-quality services. This position assists with implementing educational activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting staff in various roles. The Floater adapts quickly to changing assignments while promoting positive interactions with children, families, and staff.

Classroom Support
- Assist teachers with classroom routines and activities.

Kitchen & Meal Service Assistance

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience/coursework in early childhood education preferred.
- Experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting.
- Ability to adapt to varied roles and responsibilities
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written
Licenses/Certifications
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
- Valid Texas ID/Driver License
- Obtain Food Handlers Certificate (if applicable)
- Background clearance as required by state and federal regulations.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Classrooms, playgrounds, kitchen, and other Head Start facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds,
- Frequent bending, standing, sitting on the floor, and active movement
- Exposure to common childhood illness
