Description CEMS Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing mechanical design team. This role is ideal for a motivated new graduate with an interest in HVAC system design, sustainability, and professional licensure.
New engineers will work directly with experienced PEs and gain exposure to both design and field execution, including commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and federal facilities.
- Perform heating/cooling load calculations and equipment selection.
- Assist with energy analysis and sustainable design documentation.
- Support commissioning activities and field coordination.
- Prepare construction documents and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and project managers.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- FE Exam passed or scheduled (EIT track strongly encouraged)
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Revit MEP experience
- Trane TRACE or Carrier HAP
- Interest in commissioning, LEED, or sustainable building design
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Mentorship from licensed Professional Engineers
- Support toward PE licensure.
- Exposure to commissioning and federal projects
- Long-term career growth within a collaborative team environment
- Early responsibility with strong technical mentorship
- Diverse project experience across multiple markets
- Office is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Charleston.
