Underground Operator

Duties:

• Ensure they understand the company policies and works in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.

• Fully supports and actively participates in the Cementation safety program.

• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in their workplace.

• Refuels, checks coolant, engine and hydraulic oils, lubricates all points. Performs and documents pre-operational checks prior to initial use each day.

• Operates loader to lift, load, unload, transport and stack equipment, materials and supplies, adjusts forks to accommodate load.

• Hook and unhook slings, chains, ropes, clamps, etc. to and from materials and equipment to be loaded or unloaded.

• Works closely with other development crew members to create and maintain in a synergy required to accomplish the shift lineup in the cycle.

• Operates loader to assist in the clean-up and the removal of refuse, waste scrap, snow etc.

• Records and submits data relevant to job duties.

• Load/unload delivery vehicles.

• Transport materials/equipment as required.

• Maintain neat and orderly yard.

• Maintains working area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

• Prioritizes movement of material to comply with operational requirements and directives.

• Performs other related duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 2-3 Years underground Mining experience preferred
• Experience with LHD and Shotcrete equipment preferred

Cementation Miners Perform all tasks in a safe manner as required under the Mining Safety and Health Act and the Cementation Safety Management System.
