Position Overview
As a Security Team Member, you help create a safe and welcoming experience for our guests. You do this by staying alert, being visible, and responding to needs with both authority and empathy.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain Site Safety: Walk around the property and monitor entry and exit points, including doing thorough bag checks.
- Enforce Safety Standards: Help guests follow venue rules, such as ride restrictions and food and drink policies, to keep everyone safe.
- Manage Crowds and De-escalation: Watch busy areas and use calm, professional techniques to resolve conflicts or address rule violations.

Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in a Law or Security program, or previous experience in a similar or related field.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to organize work, plan activities, and set priorities effectively.
- A friendly and pleasant personality demonstrating maturity and sound judgment.
- Standard First Aid and CPR Certification.
Even Better If You Have:
- Ability to speak a second language.
- Security experience in an amusement park or waterpark setting.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather, including heat and humidity.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and sometimes in isolation.
- Creativity, flexibility, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
