What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Celmark International?
Position Purpose and Objectives
Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties.
Essential Job Functions
- Must follow all GMPs and relevant SOPs.
- Receive inbound material, tracking, and logging, and verifying. Prepares materials for shipment. (Un) packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and logs receipt of items onto system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- This individual must be a Certified forklift operator, able to read and apply information contained on the product onto a receiver sheet.
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to do math.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Maintain safety standards.
Supervisory Responsibility
- None
Working Conditions
- Interacts with Supervisor of receiving. Inside and outside of air conditioned areas.
- Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. standing, bending, working on a fork lifts outside of air condition area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in a warehouse environment.
- Can apply problem solving skills in real world applications.
- Good communication skills.
- Can work with minimal supervision both individually and in a team environment.
- Able to work additional hours on short notice to accomplish company production goals when needed.
