The Senior Buyer purchases the organization’s required materials and services at the right price, from the right source, at the right specification to meet customer needs, while providing financial administration of invoicing, leasing, and supplier relationship management and oversight to Buyers and Associate Buyers.

Job Description
The Senior Buyer purchases the organization’s required materials and services at the right price, from the right source, at the right specification to meet customer needs, while providing financial administration of invoicing, leasing, and supplier relationship management and oversight to Buyers and Associate Buyers.
Essential Functions
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain best terms.
- Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers.
- Manage financial oversight of invoicing, lease schedules, and inventory.
- Conduct inventory planning and forecasting.
- Conduct purchase order processing.
- Oversee tactical supplier relationship management.
- Manage and facilitate RFx process
- Orchestrate service/materials delivery coordination.
- Maintain communication with various internal stakeholders.

Required Education And Experience
- 4 year degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Masters in Business or Supply Chain Management
- CPSM certification or equivalent
- Experience purchasing materials and services of varying complexity.
- Experience negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Experience auditing invoicing for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience issuing and reviewing RFQs.
Knowledge
- Familiarity with AP/AR processes.
- Strong understanding of business, finance and total cost of ownership.
- Knowledge of inventory strategy and risk management.
- Knowledge of the research process to obtain best purchase price.
- Know and understand logistics coordination.
- Posseses professionalism to represent organization in project discussions and meetings.
- Excellent attention-to-detail.
- Displays ownership and sense of urgency with assigned tasks and timely completion.
- Uncompromising customer focus.
- Effective communication with various internal stakeholders and suppliers.
