Job Summary
In this entry-level position, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for generating and sending accurate invoices, credit memos, and statements to customers. Other duties include processing payments, reconciling accounts, making collection calls for past due accounts, and maintaining accounts receivable records. This role is also a back-up to the customer service team, and, at times, may be responsible for processing, tracking, and managing customer orders.
Essential Responsibilities
- Generate and issue customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
- Apply incoming checks and credit cards to appropriate customer accounts and invoices.
- Monitor aging reports and perform collection calls on overdue accounts.
- Communicate with customers regarding billing and payment issues.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and deductions/chargebacks.
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
- Assist with month-end close and reconciliations.
- Prepare A/R and collections reports.
- Apply approved credits and adjustments.
- Customer service responsibilities as necessary, including entering of orders, ensuring accuracy, pricing and inventory availability.
- Assist in answering main phone line and perform other administrative duties as needed.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- 1 – 3 years of accounts receivable or accounting experience required.
- Experience with customer service a plus.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Ability to work successfully or as part of a team.
Compensation
- $21.00 - $23.00/hour based on experience.
- Company-wide Quarterly bonus, subject to Company performance, responsibilities, and tenure.

Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm in office.
- Overtime required as necessary.
