Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an IHC Technologist based in Seattle, WA. The IHC Technologist will be responsible for performing immunohistochemistry procedures, including preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control, and adhering to laboratory safety and compliance guidelines. Additional responsibilities include organizing workflow, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the pathology team to support diagnostic evaluations.
Qualifications
- Experience with immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures, techniques, and protocol adherence
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including troubleshooting and calibrations
- Strong attention to detail with skills in quality control, record-keeping, and result documentation
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a laboratory setting
- Certification or eligibility for certification as an HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) preferred
- Previous experience in a pathology or clinical laboratory setting is an asset
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent education and experience
