Position Summary
The General Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations while actively working the floor and serving guests. This role balances guest-facing service, team leadership, and administrative responsibilities to ensure exceptional hospitality, smooth daily operations, and strong financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead by example on the floor, including serving tables and supporting service during peak periods
Oversee all front-of-house operations, service standards, and guest experience
Recruit, train, coach, and develop FOH team members and managers
Handle guest concerns and feedback with professionalism and urgency
Manage scheduling, labor controls, and shift coverage
Own administrative responsibilities including reporting, payroll support, and compliance tasks
Oversee cash handling, opening and closing procedures
Maintain company policies, service standards, and workplace expectations
Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and BOH leadership to ensure seamless service
Skills & Qualifications
Previous General Manager or senior FOH management experience required
Strong hospitality mindset with hands-on service experience
Ability to lead while actively working the floor
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Experience with POS systems and administrative tools
Calm, solution-oriented approach in fast-paced environments
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
