Cellar Door Cafe in Lawrence, KS is looking for a morning bakery to join our team.
We are a bakery cafe, located at 7 w. 11th st. We have a strong focus on seasonal ingredients and excellent, fresh food. We are committed to building the best team we can, and are endeavoring to making food service a sustainable profession.
This role is full or part time, early mornings. This job will start at 5 in the morning, and we're looking for someone with a morning temperaments who can open with a bang. The morning position has to begin energetically, to get the pastries and bread out on the shelves in a tight time frame. This job will include things like mixing sourdough, baking cookies and scones, decorating cakes, and rolling tart shells.
Responsibilities include
- Following production schedules to get the shelves full on time.
- Keeping track of stock and prepping what's needed to be ready the next day.
- Washing dishes and keeping the station and the bakery clean.
- Measuring precisely and following recipes, with an eye for detail.
- Working with independent focus, and in cooperation with the rest of the bakery staff
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory
Qualifications
- Baking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
- We're happy to train anyone eager to learn
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
