Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Yearly event and exhibition plan.
- Planning and managing all in-person and digital customer events, industry trade shows, association exhibits, new product introductions, dealer meetings, internal field meetings, and any other assigned special events or exhibits.
- Developing unique and strategic event approaches, including digital strategies to maximize overall reach, engagement, and targeted lead generation.
- Ensuring best practices and a premium, world-class presence and brand experience.
- Overseeing all pre-planning activities including site selection (or platform selection if digital), contract negotiation, event and show objectives, promotional planning, tradeshow design, and communications planning.
- Manage and collaborate closely with a variety of external agency partners to support the event planning and execution.
- Managing events and exhibits logistics including ground transportation, food and beverage, audiovisual, equipment and technical support, registration, site management, travel and rooming lists, demonstration support, meeting specifications, materials shipping, etc.
- Reviewing and recommending sponsorship opportunities to maximize company exposure.
- Event and exhibit budget.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience within the hospitality and tradeshow industry.
- A propensity for creative design and production management.
- Innovative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to quality and detail.
- Strong customer focus.
- At least 4 years of experience within Marketing Communications with a demonstrated level of success.
- Corporate or B2B event and exhibit management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing Communications, or equivalent.
- A history of excellence in project management and strategic planning.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Acrobat.
- Professional, along with intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign).
- Knowledge of the trucking industry in North America and an understanding of trucking customers' needs and expectations is a plus.
