DIGITAL MEDIA DESIGNER

Compensation Range: $35 - 36 per hour

We're looking for a talented, naturally curious, and highly motivated Digital Media Designer who craves the dynamic energy of an agency environment combined with the stability and perks of a large corporation. Our shared drive is a genuine passion for pets.

In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in developing and adapting online content for our diverse client brands. You'll work at a fast pace, applying real-time digital solutions and leveraging your deep expertise in interactive and social media. Success requires strong communication, as you'll be consulting with both internal teams and external partners to deliver truly impactful work.

Responsibilities:
Working alongside a Creative Director, you will:

• Design and execute online communications with exceptional design skills, a comprehensive grasp of the interactive landscape, and a strong sense of user empathy (UX).
• Your primary focus will be versioning content from master creative templates for multiple channels (e-commerce, CRM, social media, etc.). This demands intense quality assurance and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure all digital assets are built for maximum memory efficiency, are error-free, and completely accurate.
• We're looking for a highly collaborative yet self-sufficient professional with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Guarantee strict compliance with all branding guidelines (trademarks/logos), legal/regulatory standards, and AFFCO/NASC quality requirements.
• Uphold high standards of typography (kerning, hyphenation, legibility, etc.) and ensure all sizes and specifications are exact.
• Prioritize a smooth workflow by routing all projects to the Proofreader before any review presentations.
• Manage your time effectively, completing assigned projects, quickly understanding direction, and independently applying feedback to operate with a degree of autonomy.
• Effectively team up with Community Managers, legal counsel, clients, vendor partners, and various internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of the curve on the latest digital, mobile, and social trends/technology, understanding how to apply them strategically to client business. You must be willing to collaborate and share knowledge to elevate the work.
• Handle other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in designing for social media, e-commerce, and digital display.
• Strong motion design capabilities, including proficiency in After Effects, creating animated GIFs, and foundational video editing.
• Relevant professional experience in the digital sector, ideally with a creative agency background.
• A positive outlook, high energy, and an intense drive to create effective, solution-oriented designs.
• Your portfolio must showcase an impressive command of design and motion, specifically featuring social media examples and strong evidence of your motion graphics skills.
