Correctional Clinical Psychologist / Licensed Therapist (Contract)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM (Includes a 45-minute unpaid lunch from 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM). No weekends or holidays required.
Position Overview
Cell Staff is seeking a dedicated, autonomous mental health professional for a contract assignment at Green Bay Correctional Institution in Green Bay, WI. This position offers exceptional flexibility with both full-time and part-time options, a highly structured daytime schedule, and premium hourly compensation.
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist, but are also highly interested in fully independent, masters-level clinicians (LCSW or LPC). In this role, you will provide critical mental health services, diagnostic assessments, and crisis intervention to an underserved inmate population within a secure correctional facility.
Compensation & Credentials
Hourly rates are strictly commensurate with licensure level. All applicants must hold an active, unrestricted license in the state of Wisconsin.

Clinical Psychologist
$120.00 / hr
Active, unrestricted Wisconsin Psychologist License (Ph.D. / Psy.D.)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
$85.00 / hr
Fully independent Wisconsin LCSW licensure
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
$75.00 / hr
Fully independent Wisconsin LPC licensure, Master's Level; must be highly comfortable with crisis intervention
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct psychological evaluations, intake assessments, and diagnostic interviews to determine mental health needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate, high-quality crisis intervention and stabilization for individuals experiencing acute psychological distress or suicidal ideation.
- Therapeutic Services: Deliver short-term individual therapy, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and group counseling tailored to a correctional environment.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside a comprehensive care team, including correctional officers, medical staff, and administration, to ensure safety and continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain precise, timely, and confidential electronic health records (EHR) in strict compliance with state regulations and facility protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a current, valid, and fully independent license in Wisconsin (Psychologist, LCSW, or LPC). Note: We cannot accept associate-level or training licenses for this position.
- Experience: Prior experience in a correctional setting, inpatient psychiatric facility, or intensive outpatient clinic is preferred, but not required.
- Crisis Competency: Strong clinical judgment and de-escalation skills are vital, particularly for the LPC and LCSW roles.
- Background Screening: Must successfully pass a rigorous background check and drug screening as required by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
