Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Provide knowledgeable information about products and services.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions.
- Maintain organized stock levels on the sales floor and assist with inventory management.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase new items and promotions.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering calls related to store inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Experience with stock management and inventory control is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform product demos effectively.
- Supervisory experience is a nice-to-have but not required.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
