We are seeking a scientifically trained, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Scientific Applications Specialist.
This role is ideal for a scientist interested in transitioning from primarily bench-based work into a collaborative, customer-facing position focused on scientific support, customer engagement, and commercial operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Scientific & Customer Support
- Provide technical and scientific support to researchers using primary cells and cell culture media through email, phone, and research procurement platforms.
- Assist customers with cell culture troubleshooting, experimental questions, and product selection.
- Communicate technical information clearly to both scientific and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain communication with customers to identify research trends, user needs, and opportunities for product improvement.
Sales, Marketing & Commercial Operations
- Support sales and marketing activities including digital content, website updates, social media initiatives, CRM organization, and scientific conference/trade show coordination.
- Collaborate with scientific, sales, marketing, and operations team members to support customer outreach and company growth.
- Act as the commercial liaison to the laboratory team by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating production planning.
Desired Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. in life sciences or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture; experience with primary cells is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable discussing cell culture workflows, experimental design, and technical troubleshooting with research scientists.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general digital communication tools.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, databases, or website/content management tools is a plus.
- Prior experience with primary cells, stem cells, exosomes, or related cell biology fields is advantageous.
