Position Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing production equipment, CNC machinery, facility systems, and building infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position requires a well-rounded individual with experience in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, and equipment installation. The successful candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing both scheduled preventive maintenance and unexpected repairs while supporting ongoing facility improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities CNC & Production Equipment

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on CNC machines, production equipment, compressors, and support equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Install, relocate, and commission production equipment.
  • Maintain lubrication, coolant, and filtration systems.
  • Perform machine alignments, calibrations, and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.

Equipment Installation & Rigging

  • Safely rig, move, position, level, and install CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to relocate machinery safely.
  • Assist with facility layout changes and production line modifications.
  • Install machine anchors, leveling pads, guarding, and utility connections for new equipment.
  • Coordinate equipment moves and installations with vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
  • Verify machine alignment, leveling, and operational readiness prior to production startup.
  • Follow all rigging and lifting safety practices, including proper load calculations, lifting techniques, and equipment inspections.

Electrical Systems

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems.
  • Install conduit, wiring, disconnects, outlets, lighting, electrical panels, and machine power connections in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
  • Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Assist with electrical upgrades, equipment installations, and facility expansion projects.

HVAC & Building Systems

  • Perform routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
  • Replace filters, belts, thermostats, and perform seasonal inspections.
  • Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and coordinate major repairs with licensed contractors when necessary.
  • Maintain facility ventilation systems and exhaust equipment.

Facility Maintenance

  • Perform daily inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs.
  • Complete routine maintenance on lighting, doors, windows, walls, flooring, and other building systems.
  • Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and minor building repairs as needed.
  • Coordinate specialized repairs with outside contractors when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing equipment.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend equipment or process improvements.

QualificationsRequired

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience maintaining CNC machinery or manufacturing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (120V, 240V, and 480V).
  • Basic HVAC maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience with machinery installation, rigging, and equipment relocation.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, HVAC, or Mechatronics.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, etc.).
  • Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, crawl, and work around heavy industrial equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime or respond to emergency maintenance situations.

Pay: $23.50 - $26.00 per hour
