We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across designated areas
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, cleaning machines, and restroom sanitation
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through proper floor care techniques.
- Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance and general upkeep
- Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all work areas are kept safe, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Wipe down and clean exterior surfaces of machines, equipment, and control panels, following all safety procedures.
- Remove oil, coolant residue, dust, and grime from machine exteriors without disrupting machine setup or calibration
- Clean workbenches, handrails, doors, carts, and other common-touch surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness around machinery without interfering with production operations
- Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a clean environment
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Experience with floor care including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is advantageous
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in industrial or large-scale cleaning operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
