Job Title: Finance Cloud Architect (Techno-Functional)



Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 2-3 days/week onsite)



Overview We are seeking an experienced Finance Cloud Architect with strong techno-functional expertise to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based financial systems and architectures for our enterprise clients or internal finance transformation initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and deployment of cloud-native finance solutions (ERP, EPM, Treasury, Accounting, FP&A) on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Translate complex finance business requirements (e.g., IFRS/GAAP, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting) into scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures
• Hands-on configuration and integration of leading finance applications (Oracle Cloud ERP/Fusion, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Workday Financials, Anaplan, OneStream, etc.)
• Design hybrid and multi-cloud environments, data migration strategies, security/compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, SOC), and DevOps/CICD pipelines for finance workloads
• Collaborate with CFOs, controllers, FP&A teams, and IT stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with financial strategy
• Drive cloud cost optimization, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and high-availability designs specific to finance systems
• Mentor junior architects and developers; create architecture artifacts, run design workshops, and govern solution standards

Required Qualifications

• 10 years in finance systems architecture with at least 5 years focused on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Deep functional knowledge of core finance processes (GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, consolidations, planning & budgeting, tax, treasury)
• Proven hands-on experience architecting and implementing Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Workday, or similar Tier-1 finance cloud solutions
• Strong expertise in cloud services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), microservices, containers (Kubernetes/ECS), serverless, IAM, encryption, and networking
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect) finance domain certifications (Oracle, SAP, Workday) highly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to C-level finance and IT executives

Nice to Have

• Experience with GenAI/LLM integration in finance workflows
• Background in Big 4 consulting or Tier-1 system integrators
• Knowledge of finance-specific data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks) and analytics tools
