Responsibilities
- Perform intricate hair braiding styles, including knotless braids, box braids, cornrows, feed-ins, twists, and other popular designs
- Assist senior stylists with shampooing, blow-drying, and more.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following salon protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Support retail sales efforts through upselling hair care products, accessories, and additional services
- Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, check-ins, and store management tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong interest in hair braiding,
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and proper tool sterilization practices
- Ability to perform hair extensions,
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Basic retail math skills for upselling products and managing retail sales
- Willingness to learn new techniques including straight razor shaving or advanced color theory applications
