School Director Leadership Opportunity – Celebree School of Hershey
Celebree School of Hershey is an independently owned franchise location seeking a dedicated and experienced team leader to join our growing school community. Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large childcare center; experience within a franchise model is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Pennsylvania DHS regulations and the ability to ensure ongoing compliance in daily operations.
- Strong understanding of brand standards and ability to maintain excellence in operations, curriculum, talent management, and budget oversight.
- Experience with childcare management systems such as CRM, Daycare Works, Tadpoles, Teaching Strategies, and subsidy programs is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Demonstrated office management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A strong business mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality customer service to families and staff.
Ability to perform consistently under pressure, manage a high-stress environment, remain detail-oriented, and proactively solve problems with sound judgment and professionalism.
Essential Functions:
TALENT
· Anticipates staffing needs; identifies and hires the best talent
· Supervises, coaches, develops and motivates Assistant director and School Team.
· Supports orientation and on-going training; monitors and coaches the Team in Celebree practices.
· Networks within the community to recruit new families; follows-up with potentials; committed to reaching enrollment goals.
· Provides staff with timely, specific feedback including classroom observations, one-on-ones and performance evaluations.
· Promotes teamwork and enthusiasm; fosters commitment to Celebree's mission, vision, and values
· Documents effectively; consistent use of company performance management tools/processes.
· Plans and facilitates monthly staff meetings; including a training component.
BRAND
· Greets family members by name; presents a positive and professional image.
· Ensures staff presents a professional image and upholds Celebree's dress code.
· Ensures exceptional customer service experiences, e.g., thorough, friendly tours (visits); welcoming environment; accessible for parent meetings, phone calls, etc.;
· Addresses concerns in a timely manner.
· Ensures School is consistently clean, neat and organized and meets visual execution standards; recommends repair work as needed.
· Supports and leads new company initiatives; ensures adaptation of new programs, policies
OPERATIONS
· Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, and Celebree standards, policies and procedures.
· Alternates open and closing shifts with the Assistant Director, opens (6:30 a.m.) and closes (6 p.m.)on a daily basis.
· Plans and supervises School field trips and programs; ensures curriculum is followed appropriately.
· Creates effective staff schedules; maintains accurate and complete employee and child files; regularly performs classroom observations and acts on deficiencies.
· Completes all required paperwork and recordkeeping on a timely basis.
· Ensures School financials are up-to-date, accurate and organized.
· Demonstrates accountability and initiative; identifies opportunities/goals for the School.
· Understands payroll and budget control and remains within target; achieves enrollment goals.
· Creates a School Family through the Parent Partnership Committee and School activities.
· Supports in transporting children in Celebree van as needed.
· Seeks professional development opportunities; stays current on new practices in the child care and education industry.
Education/Experience:
Director qualified.
Minimum of 2-years experience in a licensed childcare facility.
Management experience preferred.
Specific Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of all CCA licensing requirements.
Certification in CPR and First Aid.
Computer skills, preferably Microsoft Office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58, $80,000.00 per year
