Celebration Health & Wellness is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Assistant to join our busy and caring Pediatrics team in our Winter Garden office.

Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our pediatric patients and providers by delivering high-quality clinical coordination and administrative support. This position requires strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
This position collaborates closely with a Patient Care Coordinator partner located at another clinic site. Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain professional working relationships across locations are essential to ensure continuity of care and consistent workflows.
This role primarily focuses on care coordination responsibilities and will provide Medical Assistant support within the practice when operational needs arise to support clinic operations and patient care.
Job Responsibilities
Care Coordination & Front Office Support
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
- Answer, triage, and document incoming patient phone calls
- Monitor and respond to incoming patient portal messages
- Follow up with all after-hours calls and provider recommendations
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support patient continuity of care
Patient Interaction & Documentation
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families regarding care plans, follow-up instructions, and appointment scheduling
- Obtain and document patient information, symptoms, and clinical details in the EMR
- Provide patient education and guidance within the scope of practice
- Maintain professional communication with providers and team members to ensure timely coordination of care
Medical Assistant Support Responsibilities – When operational needs arise, this position may be required to provide direct clinical support to the care team at their assigned clinic location or at other practice locations within the organization, including:
- Obtain and document patient vitals including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, and temperature
- Administer immunizations and injections in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
- Assist providers with in-office procedures
- Perform common pediatric screenings and clinical tests
- Prepare patient treatment rooms prior to appointments and ensure rooms are cleaned, stocked, and sanitized
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician
Basic Qualifications & Interests (BQIs)
- High School Diploma or completion of an Associate Degree Medical Assisting program
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
- CPR Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple locations and adapt to changing priorities to support clinic operations.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 2–5 years of previous pediatric clinical experience
- Prior experience in customer service (2 years preferred)
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMR systems
- Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate
