College Pastor
Location: Central Austin
Reports To: Location Pastor (Central Austin)
Summary of Role
Pioneer and oversee a college ministry that is aligned within Celebration Church and reaches local campuses, while pastoring the college students of Celebration Church.
Position Status & Schedule

- Full-time (40 hours)
- Sunday through Thursday: hours vary per week dependent on events scheduled; will include weekends and evenings
- Christmas, Easter, Pursuit Weeks (January/August), and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. WAVE Student Conference (and the week leading up) are also required workdays for this position. Other events may be required outside of your regular schedule; we will inform you in advance of these requirements.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Leadership
- Model, carry, and implement the vision of the College Ministry at all Celebration locations
- Oversee ministry initiatives towards location growth/health goals and standards defined by the Student Pastor
- Actively develop, lead, and disciple a key team for the College Ministry
- Identify, build, and empower leaders across various areas of connectivity for the college ministry such as small groups, Dream Team, Outreach, Development, Connection Point, etc.
- Oversee and strategize to see College Students plug into their next steps: Baptism, connection point, small groups, leadership, etc.
- Lead and disciple College Ministry leaders, dream team, and small group leaders
- Cultivate a small groups culture for college students that aligns with Celebration Church standards and creates a place for college students to become Strong Christians
- Lead, oversee, and implement layers of any College Ministry service or Gathering (including, but not limited to: service flow, environment experience, next steps, etc.)
- Develop and lead an internship / development space for college students to grow and serve in the local church
- Develop and disciple leaders for college internship / development
- Ensure ministry systems are upheld with excellence and in alignment with standards
- Oversee execution of college mission trips
- Provide College ministry insight and status (ministry health, leader updates, etc.) to the Student Pastor
- Fulfill pastoral responsibilities as outlined in the Pastoral Role Essentials agreement
Collegiate Initiatives and Relations
- Build, develop, and maintain relationships with organizations at local college campuses (i.e. University of Texas)
- Create and foster community around the college demographic in the Austin area through ministry nights, college hangs, etc.
- Pioneer, lead, and oversee outreach initiatives on local college campuses (including, but not limited to: UT)
- Be actively involved and connected on local college campuses (including, but not limited to: UT)
Financial
- Lead annual budget planning and monthly budget updates, ensuring resources are stewarded wisely
- Utilize purchasing processes for approval, ordering, and payment of services/items
- Enter expenses into applicable systems and maintain up-to-date expense reports
Contributes to the overall success of Celebration Church by performing all other duties as needed

- Proficient in macOS and Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ successful ministry experience (any combination of full-time, internship, schooling, serving, with an emphasis on college ministry)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office and Church facility.
- Must be able to position self to maintain supplies and equipment on lower shelves and in closets.
- Frequently move supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds
- Constantly work in an open office environment
- Ability to work outside in various climates and temperatures
