The Volunteer Coordinator serves as the lead organizer and manager of Celebrating One’s volunteer team. This role ensures volunteers are recruited, supported, informed, and appreciated while helping the organization grow its community impact.

Commitment
- Minimum 1-year commitment (preferred 2 years for continuity)
- Approximately 5–8 hours per month (more during major events such as Cap the Gap distributions, Senior Shine sessions, or 5K events)
- Provide a brief volunteer update report at board meetings once every 3 months
Volunteer Leadership & Management
- Manage and oversee the volunteer team
- Serve as primary point of contact for all volunteers
- Help delegate tasks when needed to ensure coverage for events
- Foster a positive, welcoming volunteer culture
- Maintain volunteer list and tracking system in Google Drive
- Coordinate volunteer assignments for events and initiatives
- Communicate event details, reminders, and follow-ups
- Help recruit new volunteers through community outreach, partnerships, and social media
- Identify simple ways to expand the volunteer pipeline
- Provide a short quarterly update to the Board of Directors summarizing
- Number of active volunteers
- Recruitment efforts
- Event participation
- Any needs or recommendations
- Support basic volunteer recognition efforts (thank-you messages, appreciation posts, etc.)
- Comfortable using Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Forms)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and self-motivated
- Able to take initiative and lead small projects independently
- Comfortable managing and guiding a small team
