Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Manage patient scheduling using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including appointment confirmations and rescheduling
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes efficiently
- Collect patient information, update medical and dental records, and review documentation for accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages when necessary
- Assist with medical billing and collection processes, including processing payments and explaining treatment costs to patients
- Maintain organized medical records, handle filing of documents, and ensure confidentiality of health information in accordance with HIPAA standards
