Celanese is seeking an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert. This role will ensure that all aspects of the maintenance plan are followed, adhering to four core principles:
- Preventive maintenance
- Equipment repair within their capabilities, including root cause analysis
- Proactively addressing reliability issues
- Executing maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance planner
Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect and detect anomalies, identifying emerging issues.
- Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
- Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items.
- Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
- Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete preventive maintenance as scheduled.
- Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes.
- Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with other workgroups as necessary (e.g., Core Maintenance Expert, Reliability SME).
- Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities.
- Deliver accurate and high-quality work notifications.
- Maintenance skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs
- Technical focus or at least 6 months of related experience in the general maintenance industry
- Troubleshooting and RCA skills
- Knowledge of processes and equipment
- Ability to identify anomalies in equipment
- Proficiency in using basic hand tool
