The Community Engagement Coordinator – Membership (CECM) strengthens and grows CEL’s membership base by building relationships with community partners, overseeing member registration and enrollment, and support engagement initiatives that promote inclusion and community connection.

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead the full membership enrollment process from initial inquiry through onboarding.
- Assess individual support needs to promote successful program participation.
- Implement targeted recruitment and retention strategies to grow and sustain membership across all CEL programs.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with schools, families, and community organizations.
- Manage accurate and timely member records in CEL’s database.
- Track membership metrics and identify trends to inform outreach strategies.
- Represent CEL at events, resource fairs, and outreach activities to share CEL’s mission.
Skills You Bring to CEL
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Committed to CEL’s mission of creating opportunities for people with developmental disabilities; 1-2 years of experience working with the IDD community preferred.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled in written and verbal communication and able to tailor messaging for various audiences.
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and member needs.
