CEIS | Government is seeking experienced Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) Specialists to support work at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. These positions will help ensure full compliance with federal, state, and DOE safety, health, and environmental regulations across nuclear and industrial work environments. Specialists will support site operations, maintenance, and/or program functions, working collaboratively with field teams, project management, and regulatory stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of ESH programs across field or programmatic operations.
- Perform routine safety observations, inspections, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and work planning reviews to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
- Participate in the development and revision of ESH policies, plans, and procedures.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to line management and work crews on safe work practices and compliance expectations.
- Monitor site conditions, work practices, and equipment for adherence to applicable DOE, OSHA, NFPA, and environmental requirements.
- Assist with field readiness preparations, pre-job briefings, and safety walkthroughs.
- Contribute to internal audits, regulatory interface activities, and performance metrics reporting.
- Interface with subcontractors, project personnel, and ESH team members to ensure alignment with site-wide safety objectives.
- Bachelors degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- 710 years of relevant ESH experience in nuclear, DOE, or industrial construction environments.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state safety regulations (OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, DOE O 440.1, etc.).
- Familiarity with DOE safety practices, nuclear quality programs (e.g., 10 CFR 830 Subpart A), and conduct of operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence behavior in a safety-first culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common ESH management systems.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) are a plus.
