Responsibilities
- Support all cost control functions across the project lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Monitor, track, and analyze project budgets, costs, and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with project-specific financial processes, controls, and contract requirements
- Manage and maintain change order logs for owner and subcontractor changes
- Support preparation, review, and processing of owner and subcontractor change orders
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and accounting teams to ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting
- Participate in field audits to verify work progress and identify cost variances
- Assist in monitoring subcontractor financial performance and project cost impacts
- Support development of project financial reports, including risk, contingency, and trend analysis
- Participate in month-end close processes, including billings, revenue tracking, and labor projections
- Perform data entry and tracking of financial information in internal and owner systems
- Support financial audits and ensure quality control of project cost processes and documentation
- Conduct regular site visits to support project teams and verify financial alignment with field progress
- Collaborate with cost control teams to share best practices and improve processes
- Support additional cost control and project financial activities as needed
- Strong understanding of construction project cost control, budgeting, and financial processes
- Experience supporting change management processes, including owner and subcontractor change orders
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across project teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (regular site visits required)
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects
- Familiarity with project management and cost control systems
- Experience working with project accounting teams and financial reporting tools
