About

The Sales Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all sales activities within assigned territories to meet customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets in the metal detection equipment sector.

  • Identify customer needs that present an opportunity for sales.
  • Propose solutions to the customer needs and ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain purchase orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales clients in support of the Regional Sales Managers or National Sales Manager.
  • Submits quote through computer software.
  • Interacts with customer by informing client of product, offerings, pricing, and order status.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge of product.
  • Manage the entire technical sale process from prospecting to delivering an installed solution and cultivating references.
  • Responsible for managing some key accounts and distributors.
  • Supports regional sales managers with quote creation and lead follow up.
  • Serve as the designated backup for the Order Entry Administrator in coordination of the ready-to-enter process. This includes reviewing and validating sales orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring timely data entry, and maintaining alignment with inventory availability and pricing guidelines.
  • Assist in the organization of trade show preparedness.
  • Coordinate the rental fleet program including scheduling, equipment availability, and internal communication between sales and service departments

Requirements

Essential Job Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science or related field
  • 3 years of technical B2B sale’s experience.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Working knowledge: Difference in a WTMD, OPENGATE, Ferromagnetic Detector and Hand Wands
  • General knowledge: Understand active detection vs passive detectionThorough knowledge: What model of detector is applicable to general security, high security and focused security (electronic detection, flammable liquid detection etc.)
  • 5 years in at least 2 of the 4 below categories:
    • Supporting a Sales Team or large sales force
    • Technical B2B sales experience
    • Contract issuance and understanding
    • Service Agreement and Service process experience
Travel

Travel may be required up to 5 - 10% of the time. Must be available to meet with clients both domestically and internationally. Overnight travel is required.

Specific vision abilities are required by this position that include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
