The Field Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional technical service and support, ensuring the smooth operation of critical weapon and metal detection systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment while providing direct customer support at high-traffic locations, such as schools, stadiums, government buildings, and other public and private sector facilities.
As a Field Service Technician, you will ensure all service documentation is accurate and thorough, understanding that your work is crucial to the safety of those who depend on these systems. · Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment.
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance as required.
· Test and verify the functionality of installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions.
Provide exceptional customer support, making sure all documentation is thorough and accurate, and understanding that your efforts are essential to the safety of those who depend on these systems.
Collaborate with engineers and technical experts in a privately owned company, where faster decision-making and fewer bureaucratic hurdles allow you to push the boundaries of security technology and implement solutions without delay.
· Collaborate with the technical team to resolve complex technical issues.
· Analyze, evaluate, and diagnose technical problems effectively.
· Set up and troubleshoot basic network connections, including assigning IP addresses and subnets.gh customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Knowledge
· Two-year technical degree or apprenticeship program or equivalent in a technical or military field.
· 3 – 5 years of proven experience in electrical / electronic and mechanical fields
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
· Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work scheduled.
· Willingness to travel for the vast majority of work.
· Ability to fly on commercial airlines.
· Ability to follow amps and verbal driving directions.
· Ability to drive up to a 26’ box truck.
· Strong ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
