Overview
This role involves performing various warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, order picking, shipping, and returns. The position requires operating forklifts and handling materials in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have at least 6 months of forklift experience and be comfortable working on-site during the second shift, from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials from designated storage areas and vehicles.
- Sort, pick, stock, and stage goods for shipment or storage.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery to transport materials safely.
- Verify stock counts and ensure accuracy of shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety policies.
- Assist with fabrication, staging, and transportation of goods as needed.
- Support inventory management and ensure proper handling of materials.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months forklift experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse machinery and tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work in environments with temperature extremes, loud noises, and fumes.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and policies.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Skills
- Experience with warehouse fabrication and staging.
- Familiarity with inventory verification processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in warehouse environments.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
