Job Description:
We are seeking a Regional Food Sales Manager to support and grow our foodservice business across the New York, New Jersey, and Philadelphia regions. This role focuses on expanding B2B sales for Jang-based sauces and related food products, primarily through foodservice distributors and brokerage partners.
The position is designed for a sales professional who understands the foodservice market and is comfortable working with brokers, distributors, and regional restaurant accounts, rather than handling all sales independently.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Target Achievement
- Support regional sales growth across the foodservice channel, with a focus on regional and franchise restaurant accounts.
- Work closely with foodservice distributors and brokerage partners to identify and develop new sales opportunities.
- Assist in managing the sales process from opportunity identification through execution in collaboration with brokers and distributors.
- Contribute to achieving regional sales targets through coordination, follow-up, and market support.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, distributors, and key foodservice customers.
- Support new product placements and account expansion to drive incremental growth.
- Serve as a point of contact for product-related questions or issues and coordinate internally to help ensure timely resolution.
- Gather and share market feedback related to customer needs, competition, and pricing trends.
- Develop and maintain a solid understanding of the companys product line, especially sauces and food ingredients.
- Support product introductions and trainings for:
- Broker teams
- Distributor sales representatives
- Select foodservice customers
- Represent the company at food shows, trade events, and industry meetings as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of account or sales management experience in the food industry, particularly within the foodservice channel.
- Experience working with franchise restaurant accounts.
- Sales Manager experience working with a Philly- or NY-area foodservice distributor or an American restaurant franchise brokerage is highly preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus: English (Proficient/Advanced); Korean (Intermediate or lower preferred, but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel within the region, including occasional visits to:
- The New Jersey office
- The manufacturing facility near Philadelphia
- Experience with local, ethnic, or specialty sauce categories.
- Established relationships with regional foodservice distributors, brokers, and franchise restaurant groups.
