BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
Performs all Main Bank duties for designated shift. Is responsible for balancing shift paperwork and the Vault. Maintains Cage records and reports as required.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- Assists Employee Service Cashier and Casino employees with cashier functions of paying slot tickets, exchanging denominations of currency, and completing Table Games fills and credits.
- Responsible for Vault.
- Create Imprest Banks for departments in the Casino.
- Prepare all assigned documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Resolves problems; makes sound decisions; exercises discretion and refers appropriate problems and decisions to Cage Shift Supervisor.
- Provide excellent team member relations.
- Comply with all applicable internal controls and reporting requirements.
- Complies with all applicable company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum three months cage, banking, or other acceptable cash handling experience, ability to keep paperwork "in balance".
- Proficient ability to operate 10-key adding machine/calculator with high degree of accuracy.
- General working knowledge of cage and casino operations
- Team oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct cage operations in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Must be able to bend, twist or kneel. Must be able to lift up to and including 40 pounds. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
