Job Summary
Cedarwood Country Club is now hiring a host/hostess who has flexible open availability. Cedarwood Country Club is open all holidays with the exclusion of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & New Years Day. Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner service Tuesday - Sunday with the addition of a specialty breakfast on Saturdays & brunch on Sundays. We are interested in hiring a candidate that is proficient in time management and is able to multitask. The right candidate will possess a professional, warm, engaging demeanor, with a "yes I can " attitude.
Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and energetic demeanor, providing a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth and organized table management
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
- Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating arrangements and guest needs
- Keep the host/hostess station organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
Requirements
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a welcoming attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating charts, and guest counts
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow seamlessly
- Professional phone communication skills with proper phone etiquette
- Hospitality experience that emphasizes guest relations and positive interactions
