School of Allied Health and Psychology - Assistant Clinical Director - PA Studies

The Cedarville University Physician Assistant Program in the School of Allied Health and Psychology invites applications for an Assistant Clinical Director. This is a full-time faculty position. Rank is commensurate with experience and credentials. Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Education (DCE), the Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) contributes to the leadership and day-to-day management of the clinical phase of the PA Program. The ACD works with the DCE to oversee and facilitate the clinical experience for students in accordance with the ARC-PA Standards to provide a curriculum of sufficient breadth and depth to prepare students for the clinical practice of medicine. The ACD helps develop, maintain, oversee, and ensure adequacy and appropriateness of all clinical experiences and courses to ensure they are in accordance with ARC-PA standards, program outcomes, and goals. This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a criminal history investigation. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position is pending budget approval. Position Requirements: PA with an appropriate Master's degree or higher from an accredited PA Program Current NCCPA certification Possess a current (or eligible to hold and maintain), valid, unrestricted, unqualified license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio Minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience Administrative ability to help manage the clinical educational components of the PA program Excellent rapport and network building skills with internal and external stakeholders Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate as a team member Competence and ability to develop requisite knowledge of computers, technology, and software (or similar products/programs) to perform assigned tasks Proven leadership abilities, including responsibility and self-motivation Ability to collaborate with students, staff, and faculty within/out the department A working knowledge of biblical texts and the ability to appropriately integrate texts into the practice of medicine The qualified candidate will be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
