Summary of Essential Duties:
- Perform routine assigned neurodiagnostic studies in the inpatient and outpatient settings as requested
- Studies include EEG, LTM, Routine and Ambulatory
- Assists with department projects including but not limited to research, database maintenance, and quality improvement
- The technologist may be asked to head projects, taking a lead role in the maintenance and completion of neurophysiology task that aid the lab and/or the scientific community
- Prepare rooms before and after studies and/or procedures
- Explains details of procedure to patients, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Cedars-Sinai and applicable certifying or regulatory standards
Education:
- Associate's Degree/College Diploma in an Accredited Neurodiagnostics Program required
- Bachelor's Degree in a biological science preferred
- R.EEGT by ABRET required for Neuro Tech II
- Applicants without certification may be considered as a Tech I
- BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- CLTM from ABRET preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Neurodiagnostics required
- Applicants with less than 3 years of experience may be considered as a Tech I
