What will you be doing in this role?
Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and/or the Lead Craft Specialist, the Craft Specialist operates and inspects carious equipment throughout the medical center, works on the generator, medical gas and central utility systems. Sets priorities and handles multiple projects or assignments and meets completion schedules within established objectives. Complete assigned service work orders, and preventive maintenance using the department work order system. Uses various hand tools and testing instruments to accomplish assigned tasks. Reports appropriate corrections/repairs and make referrals to the appropriate Operations Supervisor, Lead Craft Specialist, Hospitality Center or specialty shops.

What will you be doing in this role?

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects and tests electronic functions on tube stations and diverter control modules.
- Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment, using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, testing lamp, megameter, and other related equipment.
- Repairs electronic circuits and equipment.
- Replaces faulty integrated circuit switches, sockets, plugs, fuses and other elements of tube stations, exchangers and diverters.
- Reads and interprets schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ascertain defective and malfunctioning elements.
- Operates the pneumatic tube system from the computer keyboard and other computer programs.
- Frees the inbound and outbound tubes and clears loops.
- Installs and aligns optic sensors, adjusts the differential amplifier and furnishes records, as such, to Operations Supervisor.
- Monitors, take corrective action, and maintain the pneumatic tube system.
- High School Diploma/GED - Preferred
- Two (2) plus years' at an apprentice level of the craft or trade experience
- Electrical and Mechanical background.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency is a requirement.
