The Biomedical Imaging Research Institute (BIRI) invites applications for a Visiting Faculty Scientist to collaborate on cutting-edge medical imaging research. This appointment offers a unique opportunity to engage with a dynamic research community focused on advancing cardiac MR imaging using the latest generation of Siemens MR systems.
The Visiting Faculty Scientist will actively participate in a structured program of collaborative research and education, contributing both virtually and in-person throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in virtual monthly meetings with the BIRI research team to discuss ongoing projects and collaborative opportunities.
- Conduct four personal visits (three days each, one per quarter) to the institute to engage directly with research teams and advance collaborative initiatives.
- Deliver one research lecture to the BIRI research group during each visit, sharing insights and experiences related to the new imaging technology.
- Present one educational lecture per quarter to the graduate program, focusing on medical imaging topics relevant to Master’s degree students.
- Provide career guidance and mentorship to trainees in the graduate program.
- Foster sustained, close interaction with the BIRI team to support and expand research boundaries in cardiac MR imaging.
