What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner position at CEDARS HEART CLINIC?
We are seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiology practice.
The NP/PA will work closely with our cardiologists providing care to patients primarily in the outpatient cardiology office, with hospital rounding as needed.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients
- Perform histories, physical exams, and follow-up visits
- Manage common cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, CAD, CHF, arrhythmias, and hyperlipidemia
- Review diagnostic testing, labs, ECGs, cardiac monitors, echocardiograms, and stress test results
- Manage medications and provide patient education
- Provide post-hospital and post-procedure follow-up
- Assist with hospital rounding and cardiology consults as needed
- Coordinate care with cardiologists, hospitals, and other healthcare providers
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Arizona
- Board certified
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Cardiology experience required, one year minimum
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative cardiology team
- Must be able to obtain hospital privileges
