Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and adaptable Caregiver – PRN to join our team and provide exceptional support to clients in various care settings. Responsibilities & Duties
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and independence.
- Health & Safety Monitoring: Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) to track health stability and report any changes.
- Mobility & Transfers: Safely operate mobility aids, including Sara Steady, when assisting clients with transfers, positioning, or ambulation.
- Specialized Care: Support clients with specialized needs, including dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory care strategies, and positive behavior management.
- Nutritional Support: Assist with meal preparation, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are met while encouraging healthy nutrition habits.
- Companionship & Engagement: Provide meaningful companionship and engage clients in social or cognitive activities to enhance emotional well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment by assisting with light cleaning in client and common areas.
- Documentation: Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately to document care provided, daily observations, and any changes in condition.
- Transportation: Drive clients when necessary for medical appointments, errands, or community outings in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation.
- Strong understanding of personal care practices, maintaining client dignity, and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts based on changing client needs.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings.
- Knowledge or experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia/Alzheimer's.
- Current certification or training in First Aid and CPR.
- Experience operating mechanical transfer equipment (e.g., Sara Steady).
